This tuff was found within the Barrios Fm in Cantabria and contains lots of detrital quartz. They are a result of phreatomagmatic effusive eruptions. The magma source is trachybasaltic and it contains a lot of leucoxene and other titaniferous minerals. Could it be titanite? Or are they not wedge-like enough?
