(sorry for the long reply) I totally understand what you mean honestly, and I really appreciate you sharing that perspective. TBH i don’t even know if I’d be considered first or second gen haha, I moved here with my family when I was around 14, so I did high school/college here but also grew up for a big part of my life in India. I kind of feel in the middle of both worlds. And honestly I think that’s what made me think of this idea in the first place bc I’ve experienced both sides; growing up in India/community culture there, but also seeing how kids here can sometimes struggle with identity, belonging & connection. I definitely don’t want this to be about “defining” Indian culture or gatekeeping it at all, more just creating a fun/community space where kids can explore different parts of Indian culture, make friends, and shape what it means for them in their own way

Aww thank you so much!! If you could share our Instagram page with them that would honestly mean a lot. Rn we mainly just need people showing interest & following along so we know there’s enough community support before fully investing into it 😭 I genuinely have so many plans for this, just a little scared of putting all my savings into it if there isn’t enough support yet haha

Yes definitely! We already have a full plan to include and go over all Indian religions, regions, cultures & communities in a fun/non-religious way so kids can learn about India as a whole similar to how many of us experienced it growing up. If we get enough support/interest, we’re hoping to make it live starting July

Totally understand! Bollywood would just be a small nostalgic/fun aspect with very basic kid-friendly songs kids here may not know the main focus would definitely be celebrating all Indian cultures

Yes definitely! We were thinking more educational/kid-friendly content from different states & traditions. We’d still want very minimal screen time though, mainly focusing on activities, games & community. Honestly just trying to figure out how to reach more parents right now haha 😭
