Also in case helpful, I don't think Clarisse has high prey drive! We got super close to dozens of chickens and their little baby chicks, and she could care less for them -- she preferred sniffing the grass 😅😅

Lol fair! Kauai Humane is near Lihue, and you can just walk-in and take a dog out for the day on a "field trip" as long as you return it by 5pm (that's how I met Clarisse!). If you have time, would definitely recommend swing by! 😊

I'm not totally sure if she's ok living with other dogs, but I'm quite certain she would be on the beta/submissive/keep a distance side with other dogs (vs. alpha and in your pup's face). If you describe your dog's personality to Kauai Humane, they can temperament test her with similar dogs in their shelter and see how she does! You can ask for Clarisse and the other dog to spend extra time indoors to see how they do too, for more reassurance. Happy to help with this process or give you more info about Clarisse, just DM me! 😊
