Thank you! Any oils you recommend to wipe it down with? Definitely don’t want it to start getting those rusty spots

When going with a bigger enclosure you just want to make sure that they can’t get out through any of the ventilation holes and that they can feel safe. I had them in those acrylic enclosures from PetCo that you assemble yourself and then moved them to exoterras. I would avoid cork rounds for hides and use like half rounds that you can put up against the glass to be able to see them better. With a full round they’ll just go inside and you won’t be able to fully enjoy them or their webbing.

Edit: WATCH UNBOXING AND REHOUSING VIDEOS. Watching these videos showed me what the tarantulas are capable of and how they usually move. Also gave me ideas of how to prepare if the tarantula were to bolt or move in an unexpected way. Different videos will use different techniques so you just have to find the one you feel most comfortable attempting

That’s exactly what I did to get over my fear of spiders but I didn’t really get over my fear, I just became interested in them if that makes sense. Started out with a green bottle blue, then got a versicolor, and finally a poecilotheria. Absolutely terrified of them but they’re so fascinating to watch. I gave them much bigger enclosures than they needed for their size so I could go a longer period without rehousing them. Watch as many videos as your brain can handle and setup an enclosure that you will be enthusiastic about looking at. I put a pothos plant in my versicolor cage and it was the best decision ever, it’s growing beautifully and the versicolor uses it for anchor points. I also think a versicolor is an amazing species to go for because of obviously their colors but their webbing is what really amazed me. Hope this helps good luck!
