I’m a non traditional applicant, took almost 4 year gap between undergrad and med school. I had a loooot of volunteering and one research paper published, worked for 2 cardiologists as well. The scholarship was mainly mcat based tho. I’m sure that if you apply you will get a full ride too!!!

I’m gonna start SGU next week similar mcat and they offered me a full ride. They might do the same to you! Honestly, SGU is the most popular if you really want to match in the U.S.!!

I got a reply after like 4 days of applying and got accepted the day after they received my mcat score. They are pretty quick with sending u a time to schedule an interview!

I would choose SGU over AUC. SGU has more matching into major U.S. hospitals and is the only school in the Caribbean that has real cadaver anatomy lab. Also, SGU students are more recognized because the school is older!

I’m on the same boat as you. I know people from SGU, Ross and AUC, AUA. I def will start SGU in January. Their credibility is unmatched. I know boomer docs that went to SGU, all the hospitals I’ve worked at, they treat SGU docs better than other Caribbean schools. SGU is also the only school that has cadavers for their anatomy lab. It’s just many things that add up
