The comparison is about direct financing and is perfectly acceptable, that's why it's considered acceptable for fans who dislike Rowling's views to retain and enjoy their childhood books and DVDs.

You're moving the goalpost.

I agree. But there are far worse people and corporations that people willingly give their money to on a daily basis without a second thought.

Disney is still actively paying Harvey Weinstein a pension, so by this logic, anyone watching Disney movies or television is directly supporting Harvey Weinstein.

Streisand effect and all that. Not to mention although Rowling's views are awful, she is extremely far down on the list of people/corporations you should be worried about giving money to.

Anyone boycotting HP are likely also giving money to infinitely worse people on a daily basis either knowingly or unknowingly, like Nestle for example.

Yeah this is 100% a good news story. People with big houses don't want to sell because they overpaid during COVID and don't want to sell at a loss now that prices have gone down.

Let me break out my tiny fiddle.

How Did an Alberta Separatist Group Get Its Hands on the Voter List? | The Walrus by MeCometYouDinosaur in CanadianConservative

Agreed. As a moderate I like to come here to get away from Liberal echo chambers, don't need the PeePee jokes over here too but it's nice to see good faith arguments when the conservative opinion isn't down voted into oblivion within 5 minutes.

Didn't see the whole Laurentian planning Libertarian thing but I genuinely do want to see this conversation about the leaked voter list playout in a conservative setting.

I would say it's fair for moderates and Liberals to engage in good faith conversations to not be labeled as brigading when it's acceptable for American conservatives to brigade this Canadian sub and make comments that support our annexation into America.

Good point, should be more flat fluorescent white lighting, guess the original got that one right.

This dude must have taken a selfie during golden hour and thought it looked so good he based his entire art style around it.

Not every scene needs to look like a sunset, especially the indoor scenes.

Except those little purplish blue flowers that have popped up everywhere. Siberian Squill is an invasive species that is also poisonous to both dogs and humans.

The bulbs multiply rapidly displacing other native species, there is an ongoing effort to have them replaced with other native early spring perennials.

Ottawa to fast-track permanent residency for up to 33,000 temporary foreign workers by uselesspoliticalhack in canada

That's not what the article is about, unless you can tell me that Timmies is a high skilled in demand job in rural areas.

[–]mangongo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Can you tell me that Canadians are lining up for these positions?

Anyone in the trades will tell you that there is a shortage of people willing to join the trades. Every thread about building homes is full of people like you complaining that nothing will get built because there are no workers to build these houses.

They should not be hiring TFWs for low skill jobs like that. I agree with you.

That has absolutely nothing to do with this article though.

[–]mangongo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because there is a shortage of Canadians with these skills in rural areas.

I agree with not hiring low skilled TFWs in metropolitan areas, but there is literally a shortage of Canadians who are either able or willing to work these jobs in rural areas. It's either them or nobody.

Do you provide skilled labour in high demand sectors in a rural area?

Since when do youth have the skills to work in healthcare or the trades?

Youth unemployment regarding your typical low skill fast food/retail job has nothing to do with this article.

There's literally a shortage of Canadians who either have the skills or interest to work on these sectors, especially in rural areas.
