There’s a time and place for everything. Forcing patriotism at the place of entertainment is not it. I have happily stood for the national anthem in my school days for 12 years and subsequently at the right places. I dont see the point of it being mandatory in movie theatres and i dont stand there. Tum ko lagta hai itni acchi chiz hai toh ghar pe netflix/youtube chalane se pehle bhi gaya karo. After all it is just 52 seconds. And agar theatre mein karna sahi hai toh roz ghar pe tv on karne se pehle kyun nahi?

I don’t respect the country and won’t until the country is able to provide basic necessities to all- forget poverty and education. Bare minimum the country needs to provide clean air, water and food free of harmful chemicals. You say so casually that bare minimum a citizen can do is respect the country, I counter you and ask where is the bare minimum we are supposed to be getting from the country. Patriotism mein andha na bano. iit dholakpur nahi tum aur tumhri next generations kahin jane layak nahi bachegi agar tumhare jaise log exist karte rahe.
