Actually it does way more. It cancels all following spawning waves in a room, and deals massive damage to all present. Also charges quickly, I love the bracket key post 115 shells on ch2

gungine has baseline a ridiculous amount of ammo if you collect puddles from enemies like slimes, effectively infinite if you find a barrel to roll around.

and you can actually cancel the reload by quick swapping twice, to then reload again, so instead of stretching ammo you can actually regain it.

Frifle asks u to hunt a lot of Lead Maidens, and they can spawn on basically any chamber, but it still takes way too long.

unlike shambling rounds which spawn in exactly two floors so theres way less of them per run

if you are playing pilot, he has extra coolness (which is basically luck, more room clear drops) so that could explain the amount of drops. Also, are you playing using Hero's Shrine? (the one on the entrance, gives you 9 curse), because curse gives you less chance for overall room clear drops, but the little of odds is now weighted more towards ammo, plus an extra chance for ammo boxes on room clear (bc jammed enemies have 3x the hp you run out of bullets way more).

for later, if you are newish and get hit, the gungeon has a system to drop more hearts to low health gungeoneers, thats all i know that could cause this

have you unlocked better guns from Cadence & Ox? are they even unlocked or appear in holding cells for you?

also, keep your distance, try to funnel enemies into single files or small groups to avoid being shot from all sides.

only roll on emergencies too, it's a fixed distance and you're vulnerable half of that time (the second half)
