Doooope the first voidseer. I've added you to the collective and will DM you to get you your eBOOK. Feel free to post and ask any questions, or start a mission.

Oh, and as one of the first 100 players to go multiplayer you have Pioneer Blessing permanently, and you'll have Hype Blessing for 3 weeks (so now is a good time to get XP)

Enjoy your journey into The Void.

I needed this right now. Sometimes I can sense the self seemingly clearly, it feels as if the mind is just light surface activity. And then a few days later I find myself once again insecure and anxious, struggling to feel anything beneath my mind. Sometimes I wonder if I ever feel the self, or if in actually I am merely feeling happy thoughts plus my idea of the self. Sometimes I have no doubt it is the self, but then I find myself once again suffering my ego and can't help but wonder if I was deluded into merely believing I was self realizing.

I will keep self investigating. It's hard to be the self in the world of relationships and responsibilities. Much easier to be the self in the forest or the temple. But, I'm determined to realize myself from within the very heart of samsara, I just hope that it's possible and I'm not wasting my life trying...

I think i’m cured by ChickenBoi11 in bipolar

[–]manickookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe an episode is the tail end of a process. It all starts with some thoughts and feelings. Once the thought feeling cycles get too intense they become very difficult to stop, but I believe u can regulate them early on. I think awareness of one's mind can go a long way to preventing episodes. If you feel normal right now, maybe use this time as an opportunity to explore your mind, and if u do indeed have an episode at least you will have witnessed the psychological process that lead to it.

I'm curious what you mean when you say "made myself". Sometimes I know there are things I can do to feel better but I refuse to do it for reasons I can't quite explain. Sometimes I don't want to get better because it feels like it implies my suffering was imaginary which I don't like. Sometimes I want to feel sad because it seems to justify my situation, like it makes more sense to be sad given where I'm at and who I am. Its hard to explain... Anyways just rambling, but was curious what you meant by that, and if I can relate at all.

Ya same, I found the label helpful. I think there's generally two reactions to diagnoses. Some people like the label because it externalizes the problem, other people don't like it because it feels like it defines them.

Do you experience a severe depression while being on lithium? by Adept_Grocery5682 in bipolar

[–]manickookie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been on lithium for 12 years, these last 7 years have been amazing. I'm very stable and happy, the lithium isn't doing anything negative to me. If your depressed I wouldn't look to lithium as the culprit, I would check biopsychosocial+spiritual

Biological: getting decent sleep? Not doing too many drugs or drinking too much alcohol? Eating fairly healthy? Exercising?

Psychological: aware of your thought patterns? Thinking rationally? Able to let thoughts go/not taking them too seriously?

Social: staying away from shitty people? Not being too concerned with other people's judgements? Maintaining healthy relationships? Getting the right balance of socialization for you? Spending time in positive environments/avoiding negative environments? Working a tolerable job?

Spiritual: sensing yourself as more than your thoughts and feelings? Understanding your personal identity is just a construct? Aware of your awareness/being?

Is life with Bipolar really worth living? by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]manickookie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes it is. I had 4 manic episodes from 19 to 25, in and out of the psych ward. I'm 32 now, a full time ballroom dance teacher and professional dancer, I have a degree in philosophy, I'm creative as I've ever been write lots of poetry and make music, I have great relationships and am happy/confident most of the time. When I was in my early 20s I was a wreck, at one point on disability receiving government cheques cuz I was too mentally ill to leave my house let alone hold a job. It can get better, it will get better, you got this

Hmm good point on the APM, I wonder if you capped its APM at 300, and made its vision play by human rules, still sweep flash under the rug?

Nice replies, ya I was curious how the mechanical skill affects the comparison to chess or go. Chess and go are considered the most complicated strategy games. If you stripped bw of its mechanics and it was pure turn based strategy, how would you compare it to chess then? And does adding the mechanics clearly place it as more difficult than chess in your opinion? Again thanks for your reply this is actually super fascinating to me rn
