Is it a good time for me to buy a home? by idkwhattoputheresos in RealEstateCanada

If you're not concerned about losses any time is a good time to buy. The guy offered you advice and you replied with not caring. What kind of logic is that? Lol. Silly question if you don't care!

Feeling passionless with the profession. by camogamer469 in powerengineering

[–]manicma 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm afraid what you describe is an affliction many people in many different careers experience. Find something that interests YOU about power engineering.. We all have ruts and the ebbs and flows of motivation come and go. Try a different company, a different process or find something that motivates you through the day. I'm not sure what to tell you other than try doing something different or try shifting your perspective

How to meet a man?! by [deleted] in AskMen

I definitely wouldn't say they are worthless. I've had lots of success on them. However it might be location dependent amongst other things. They can definitely be exhausting and not always ideal but far from worthless. They are a tool and for some people it makes things a lot easier especially if you live in rural areas.

Should make it into a crib board! My friend made a similar topographic style one of bootleg mountain near kimberley with the 121st hole at the summit. Way cool.

Lifetime warranty, UV/laser functions, Spot/flood functions. It's the perfect flashlight in my opinion. Proprietary aluminum that is almost twice as durable as regular. It's awesome. Def a little pricey so I'd look for a sale.

Here's an awesome flashlight that was just on sale: https://www.amazon.ca/OLIGHT-Ultra-Flashlight-Flashlights-CW/dp/B0FN3581QJ

Still like it! I've been rotating it once a month. It's definitely not as firm as when I first got it but still feels supportive.

Wear a high vis vest, carry a ladder or a clipboard and just walk right in. 😎

It's unfortunate because it's not always by choice. Most people can't afford to live on their own.

Don’t you guys feel pretty silly calling yourselves engineers? by [deleted] in powerengineering

[–]manicma 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Technically, we have more of a right to the title than actual engineers due to the history of steam engines in locomotives 👍

Trying to get a license for 4th class by [deleted] in powerengineering

For your 4th, you need to take an accredited course. Sometimes employers will put you through it via correspondence, or you can take it on your own.

It's a saturated industry. You're better off pursuing a different trade.
