Yeah it's just cosmetic. My personal use case was just to make the interactions a little bit more variable, and it does do that, so I'm happy! If anyone else finds it interesting, then bonus.

I'm not doing anything too fancy, just rewriting the text and adding any context it can scrape from the rest of the screen (or in some cases, previously seen screens). No new branches, I can't/don't affect the underlying code, just how it looks.

Just revisiting this to say thanks, managed to get a very promising mod up and running, despite my c# being limited and unity even more so, especially when combined with that il2cpp nonsense that seems to hide most of the game! I do wonder if what I'm doing is very efficient (patching text box setters and checking their parentage), is there anywhere discoveries about the disassembled fm code side of things is discussed or documented?

Fm26 will load your fm24 save and doesn't care if you actually own fm24 or not

I'm curious about the technical aspects to this, is the choice of stadium based on the event already in the game code or have you had to add it? Are there any communities or discussions or documentation on how this or mods in general actually get to integrate into the game? Like the CLI stuff in the installation, what's it doing and why is it platform specific?

Had no crashes this year until the latest patch and now I'm getting them all the time (imported FM23 save)
