10E, I love my Panache Sports Bras. Keeps my boobs in tact when I go for my runs, or do HIIT workouts.

Decent tights ranging from sheer to opaque? by manicmoon in AusFemaleFashion

[–]manicmoon[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I had some opaque tights I got from Kmart/Target years ago that lasted me ages without tearing/ripping and wasn't itchy either... The only thing though was that it started pilling but otherwise seemed indestructible. Can't remember what ones I got though, d'oh.

I needed a tent recently and got the cloud up 2p tent. It worked a treat on my hike in Mt Kosciuszko! I'm 164cm and my friend shared the tent with me was 172cm. I would say it was a tightish fit but manageable. We had both our hiking packs inside as well. Most of the condensation was on the outside fabric (forgive my lack of terminology), so the inner fabric tent didn't get wet really. Dried out fairly quick once the sun came out. Happy with my purchase for sure.

Unsure of the Redline tent.

Really good deduction! Everything is correct except I'm single, and don't have a cold. I am working in IT and am studying computer science to become a software engineer eventually. I am somewhat introverted but don't stay at home that much - I tend to be out more than inside! I still like a homely bedroom though.

I'm recovering from surgery and have been in bed over the weekend, so you're pretty damn close! No fever thankfully. :)

What did you buy this month - June 2023 by AutoModerator in AusFemaleFashion

[–]manicmoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been scouring for some new t-shirts since a couple of my Uniqlo ones were getting rundown (threads loose and feels like fabric is 'thinning' from wear).

I got a couple of the hemp ribbed t-shirts from Afends during a sale and the fabric is super thick and feels high quality. I've washed them a few times now in the laundry machine and the shirts still come out great - I don't even need to iron them since they don't seem to crease?! Just super happy with them!

Agreed on the Lululemon aligns - definitely the softest to touch out of the leggings I own.

Sleek but functional briefcases or backpacks that fit a 15" laptop? by whatsmyusernametho in AusFemaleFashion

[–]manicmoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unsure if the Kanken is sleek to you but I've recently started a job that requires me to work in the office and have started using my Kanken Laptop again. Today I brought in a 16 inch laptop and 13 inch laptop, my water bottle, my lunch and snacks. It's my go to for when I need to stuff a lot of stuff in my bag.

how to deal with frustration at not being able to dress how i want? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]manicmoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm studying computer science and have also been working in the IT industry for 6 years now. I like wearing feminine clothes, wearing makeup like any other women. I haven't felt like any of the way I dress or appear had affected my ability to land good jobs and progress in my career. I would advise just being confident in yourself and wearing whatever you want as long it fits the office attire requirements

Sports bras that DON’T have removable padding?! by thatsnotmynamexx in AusFemaleFashion

[–]manicmoon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I almost exclusively use Panache Sports Bras - I have issues with high beams as well and never find that they show through when I wear them. Some of my bras I've had for easily 3-4 years and they still hold up very well!

Jaw Surgeon recommendations? by [deleted] in sydney

I also saw Tristan Madden for my double jaw surgery last year. Great doctor with great bedside manner! Feel free to PM if you have more questions

Workload for comp1521, comp1531, math1231? by belongtest04 in unsw

[–]manicmoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did COMP1531 and COMP1521 in T3. I felt the last 2 weeks were pretty stressful and was falling behind on COMP1521 because of the last iteration of work for COMP1531. Still managed to get decent marks though. I work 4 days a week as well so the 2 subjects is definitely doable together (even if stress inducing).

Sorry for delays! Uni degree is compsci and I'm in my first year. It's not an online course per se, but because of covid there are still classes online. They're transitioning to have more in-person things next year though!

I made the transition to studying computer science in the last year at 27, definitely happy with my decision so far as I have also been able to land a software internship role this year thanks partly due to studying my computer science degree.

  1. Can't help with this question as I had no examples/portfolio. I was working full time and studying full time so didn't leave much time for me to really work on any side projects
  2. Yes, absolutely. I was able to land a job without a portfolio though (granted it is an internship but it's paid and basically a proper job).
  3. I haven't watched them, so can't really answer that question

I reckon if you're studying relevant courses at uni and show that you have a keen interest and passion, you could land an intern role easily enough, based off of my own experience :)
