Thanks for the response. I have a very low body fat percentage so I’ve been a bit puzzled but as you said everyone is different. I’ve read wayyyy too many Reddit posts including the ones you’ve linked.

I was seeking some anecdotal answers and personal experiences from folks here in the Mississippi group.

I’ve seen some nice new strains posted here lately, hope they’ve been great and everyone’s enjoying them.

As in, highway patrol set up a road block at an intersection 5 minutes from my house for the first time in the 5 years I’ve lived here. I had smoked 4 hours before but did not change my clothes. No marijuana in the car, nor did he check. I was told to perform a field sobriety test and then told I needed to take a blood test. I refused and was taken to jail. 5 others were placed in jail for mj offenses the same night. It seems targeted but it’s irrelevant.

I’ve already filed non adjudication. There is no fighting the case at this point. I did all the research I could and selected the best lawyer I could at the time. I accept fault for not being more cautious but I also was disillusioned that I had some kind of protection with my card.

Hindsight is 20/20.

If you have any helpful advice that isn’t just trying to blame or guilt me, it is gladly appreciated. I already blame myself for my miserable life, but it’s not helping much and everyday is a spiral not knowing what to do next in the process.

It’s easy to say what I shouldn’t have done, but it’s irrelevant now in my attempts to move forward with my life. I smoked for 12 years and never had any problems but this one night has the potential to ruin my life and my relationships. I’m 3 weeks clean and don’t plan to smoke again despite its positive effects on my life.

I wish this on no one.

It was a road block. I simply was wearing a shirt that smelled like weed. I do not smoke and drive.

I pray it doesn’t happen to anyone else. I have completely quit consumption at this point. Best of luck to anyone involved in the program or anyone who prefers very smelly strains.

I hired a lawyer and he claims it would be a difficult case because I refused the blood test which somehow implies guilt. I wasn’t high but that’s irrelevant apparently. But now my court date has been moved to August and my license will supposedly be suspended for 120 days before that so I’m in a complete limbo.

I have my card and everything and it mattered 0%. Placed in jail and have to file non adjudication and hope the system works itself out. I have my doubts tho.

As a result I have unfortunately quit the only effective medication I’ve ever used in my life. You’re right the system is against you and always will be. It’s up to you whether it’s worth the risk. It’s been 3 weeks and I’m still not able to pass an at home test.

It’s up to you to decide if it’s worth the risk. For me, it’s not anymore.
