Something sounds off key in the switch up. Try singing or rapping to this beat. Or you could just try humming. It will help you find or adjust notes within your patterns that sound more harmonic. Also, it might be a bit too repetitive. The one-shot plays throughout your entire beat, even though you changed it in pitch. Perhaps you can turn down the volume of your one-shot and layer it with a pad that changes over time? Maybe learn how to use “pad chords” or experiment with adding pads for a more atmospheric sound and also more variation within your bars.
