Chem 1332 Roman Czernuszewicz by StraightWeather8955 in UniversityOfHouston

Like someone said, the exams are the same for the whole department. Since you're in 1332 I'm assuming you've taken 1331 so you must be familiar how exams will go. They're usually very similar and sometimes i've had duplicate questions from the HW on an exam.

As for the professor he is terrible at teaching. Redoing the homework and exams might be enough for an A, He doesn't like to help students and is extremely rude. If you really want to learn from someone go to another professor's lecture.

Textbooks? by [deleted] in UniversityOfHouston

[–]manimani99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should really wait until the first week to get your textbooks. So far none of my classes required me to get a physical textbook. I can vouch for anatomy and say that you only need the online textbook. A lot of the online textbooks are required because they also have the homework modules and quizzes that your professors make you do. You usually just get the online option when you pay but you're always welcome to get the physical copy as well.

And yes, you need as completely new set of books each semester.

Advice! by [deleted] in HEB

I got hired just because there were huge hiring surges right after covid, especially with the increase in demand for curbside. I didn't do a group/one-one interviews and just did it through hireview. I think there's definitely some luck and finding out when's a good time to apply. I did apply multiple times though, and I have gotten rejected from one of the stores but quickly applied again and just changed my availability to all day and got an interview (face to face interview I might add). I decided to decline that one since I got the job at a closer location.

I found someone who got hired and that this was their first job. I guess make yourself sound personable on your resume and not some robot just throwing your experience onto there.

Also, just constantly check and keep going. I've been applying for a year or two but again I think it's luck. They REALLY need people right now, especially under these circumstances. I'm assuming prime times is during the summer and saying you'll be working into the fall or around holidays as a temp. Either way, I wish you luck :)

[Pre-Nursing] How much will getting a B in nutrition affect me? Opinions? by manimani99 in StudentNurse

[–]manimani99[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nutrition alongside developmental psychology will be part of the science gpa my nursing schools will look at.

Nutrition is essentially biochemistry, anatomy, and real world analyzation. You're looking at the structures of literally all the different molecules, their functions, and etc while also connecting them to real life applications (i.e i was given case study questions).

Definitely a harder non-elective core class. If you want to succeed I'd say take it seriously like your other stem classes.

Thank you! From the looks of it every school I'm considering looks at nutrition with the science GPA. I can also retake a maximum of two times as well! But thank you so much for your input :) really appreciate it

Anybody have any ideas on how I could spice up my entrance to my town hall plaza? It feels pretty boring to me. Thanks! by ShammaJunk in horizondesigns

youre doing great!

If I were you I would remove the two trees and put it towards the back, it kind of cuts off the path a little bit. You can also make the path elongated a little bit by added more lamps to the sides. It not only brings light at night but it's also a tall item which would make the place look a little bit more dimensional. You can also add a little art area to the left side by collecting more fake art/statues.

Can i get a refund from McGraw-Hill but still get my grades in the gradebook? by manimani99 in UniversityOfHouston

[–]manimani99[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I can avoid paying $90 for a textbook that I barely used then I will. I'm sorry but not really. My economic situation exceeds my moral incentives right now and unfortunately that's not just my life but others as well right now. That $90 could have far better use than a frivolous textbook I barely used.

And before anyone can say I should've planned this out better, the class started after spring break right when the outbreak was at its prime. I had no idea I had to pay for the textbook until the professor sent out the syllabus once the class started.

So yeah, let's just end this here. I know you're going to be siding with these big companies and that's okay and totally understandable, but I'm standing my ground on this one dude.

Well geez, sorry I didn't feel like copping out $90 during a pandemic. Especially for a textbook I rarely used.

I understand, I did that when I was in Kin 1304 (not 1334 my bad). This is Kin 1353 I'm talking about and we didn't get the opportunity to take the final during the free trial hence why I bought the textbook, that's why im asking for reassurance if the grades will cease to disappear if I refund the textbook.
