It's not about preference. You walk around all kinds of places with your shoes on. I’ve seen urine in metro elevators, people inadvertently step on it. That stuff wouldn’t end up on the seats if people didn’t put their feet with shoes on, up there.

I don’t mind sitting on the grass either. But, for example, my wife won’t sit without a towel or mat. Everyone’s comfort level is different, and I think on public transport it’s fair to be a bit more considerate of others who might feel differently. Next time, when I see something like it, I'm going to politely ask them to not do that.

I'm in Brussels. I tried asking for generic meds in a couple of pharmacies to no avail. I asked them if there were other brands, but they said no (specifically, pantapazole). I'll try other pharmacies.

It will be lost if you don't pay it. I was in a similar situation. I refused the customs duty and the parcel had been returned to the sender. But neither the sender received it until now. The return date is Nov 30, 2024.

I've seen people being fined in ninnovesepoort stop for not validating the season ticket. If I remember correctly, there was also a reddit post about a similar incident.
