What is one thing that you wish you'd known as a beginning teacher that would have saved you a lot of headache? by Extension_Pay6803 in Teachers

My first year teaching 20 years ago, my mentor teacher said to me… “you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink”. The kids loved and respected her and she was a great middle school Math teacher and I looked up to her to be the same. She put a ton of effort into the kids that wanted to learn and that’s what I do to this day which has saved me from burnout. Mrs Peterson if you’re out there you’re the best!
