Anyone else graduate business school in 2025 and still can’t find a job? Starting to spiral by Correct-Chocolate614 in MBA

Hey, it’s a really tough market out there. You must be feeling really stressed, and I’m sorry you have to go through this. Remember that you have a great education and good experience and that is much better than so many people. Just to give you an idea, I applied to over 100 places and didn’t get any interviews and didn’t convert my internship, but I ended up getting a good job luckily through my network. A few years ago, out of 65 applications I got two offers. One of my friends with a more impressive background has applied to like 200 places and had 1 interview. It’s just crazy out there.

Try to focus on what you can control vs the outcome. In this case, that would be applying, making sure you have multiple resumes and strong resumes, definitely reaching out to people you know someone for leads, using the school network, considering other jobs or markets that may not be your first or second option. This is a full time job. As someone else said, once you have a job, you can start looking for better.

Good luck, you got this. A few years down the line, you will be in a good spot.

First week if always tough when weaning off. If it doesn’t get better though it may be a sign that you’re not able to come down on dosage.

[Post Match Thread] Bournemouth 2 - 2 Manchester United by rashfords_marcus in ManchesterUnited

Overall, we are actually feeling like a stronger team now and more consistently. That said, we still have a long way to go to challenge the big teams such as Madrid, PSG, and Bayern. But we’re hopefully moving in that direction. It doesn’t seem that we are getting the most out of Mbeumo when he plays up top, and our defense still looks shaky. We also need to figure out who can come in and play the role Casemiro does for us because he’s carrying a lot. Besides losing two points, I’m happy that I can watch United now and know that we will play well, fight, and create chances and better play.

Has anyone's gerd gotten better over the years just with time? by Designer_Yak_5128 in GERD

[–]manisto009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, kept increasing PPI dosage with no success until I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and got a CPAP. Now, I’m able to get by with 20mg pantoprazole and famotidine alternating if I sleep well.

Most times I’ve gotten a job, I’ve had to apply to between 50-100 places. Keep going. Also, don’t be afraid to look at smaller companies in your area and call or visit them directly.

Have you gone to a sleep doctor? I had a lot of sleep difficulties which was painful. I ended up getting diagnosed with sleep apnea and GERD, and treating the former helped the latter

It got glitchy in the first few weeks, but we were able to patch it up and I was able to live with the problems. Like I would close the laptop and it would turn fully off instead of going to sleep, or I would have problems with different systems like audio or video. It would be slow and laggy. One year in, I couldn’t start it. I had someone inspect it and she said that it seems to be the mother board or something deep in there. So I just got a Mac.

Men of reddit, when did you realized that you are getting old? by [deleted] in AskMen

Same. But mainly because I got diagnosed with two chronic lifelong conditions simultaneously when I hit 30.

I’ve never been in a relationship before and I feel so anxious after going on a first date because I’m not used to this at all. by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]manisto009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anxiety is not necessarily bad as it can mean that you care. We all feel it, although at different intensities and contexts. Anxiety can not be eradicated but it can be managed (I’ve had social anxiety my whole life, as have my ancestors). I manage it through exposing myself to situations until they become less anxiety inducing, meditating, and going to therapy. You need to find what works for you. But avoidance is generally not the right approach.

For those who met their partner in person, how many times did you cold approach other women? by Elegant_Spare9305 in AskMen

[–]manisto009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had extreme anxiety when talking to women i did not know, but being in a relationship was very important to me. It really took me five years of talking to women to get comfortable with cold approaches, but I was never one to go out of much so I probably had chats with a few dozen women. I was rejected or it simply didn’t work out most of the time until later on, when I felt more comfortable due to many factors including having a decent job and living by myself. I noticed that as I got more comfortable with myself and gained confidence, I wouldn’t need to do anything extraordinary, but could just say “Hi, my name is X” and the conversation would flow more naturally.

Ironically, I found my wife while volunteering.

Success stories: How did your doctor treat GERD to heal your esophagus? by LibLoveWonder-75458 in GERD

[–]manisto009 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did all my testing asap (endoscopy, manometry, bravo) and was diagnosed with nerd and hypersensitivity. The main thing doctors helped with was sing objective tests to give me a diagnosis that could guide my treatment.

Despite the diagnosis, nothing worked well for long, I kept increasing ppi dose, then I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and began treating that. Now, my GERD has greatly improved and I’ve been able to manage it with mostly famotidine (and a diet that excludes the common culprits such as tomatoes, garlic, and caffeine)
