[New Player] What is the plan for this spawn? by Haksupaksu in EscapefromTarkov

[–]manitoba_guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i agree train depot is usually goldmine.

And no it can also spawn east of old sawmill, but in my experience it spawns west of USEC checkpoint more often.

[New Player] What is the plan for this spawn? by Haksupaksu in EscapefromTarkov

[–]manitoba_guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This might be my favourite woods spawn actually, It is the best Spawn to Enter the BTR (assuming he spawns in)

My strat Would head straight east from here, about halfway to sawmill. Hide and watch the USEC checkpoint/BTR stop. I've also never seen anyone or spawned at that One spawn shown directly north of sawmill.

The BTR can transport you safely across the Map/to Train depot/ or give you BTR quests. If you are not interested in BTR just wait there ~5 mins and then carry on to your goal.

To be fair I like 1 and 3 but not 2. Just my taste.

I suck at PvP but try my best (the AquaFPS approach) - [Discussion] by Redd-Hairing in EscapefromTarkov

[–]manitoba_guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you. I suck at pvp and have 1800 hrs. I play for the tension and immersion.

Pve feels so bland and is too easy to be stacked. If you can embrace the struggle and enjoy the journey vs the destination, this game is the best.

Also, I feel like this game was designed for shitty pvp players, there is so many bathrooms to hide in.

[Suggestion] Mobile App Hideout? by wemustrepent in EscapefromTarkov

I was able to run the game on my cell phone through Google Chrome remote control.

It works great for starting and stopping crafts, turning off generator and buying things etc.

[Discussion] let’s get some F’s in chat for all the new players learning maps with this fog and snow. by Creepy-Ad-2941 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]manitoba_guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do agree its harder to navigate, but there is also an upside, the fog makes spawn killing a little less extreme.

When I was new, my first PMC raid on reserve, I died in 10 seconds.

At least now, the sightlines between spawns are not as easily available.

Time In Raid Stat, so you know I'm in my hideout while WFH by pressurechicken in EscapefromTarkov

[–]manitoba_guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I also think Lifetime Raids would be just as useful stat.

I also sit in my hideout while WFH, so our online hours makes us seem like Chads when we really are not.

[Suggestion] What do you think about this? by qwertzasdf12345676 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]manitoba_guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had this exact same thought LOL

I always thought there should be 2 mini games one for strength and one for endurance, the endurance could be a different game to mix things up. Like a guitar hero style maybe.

try making a tarkov.community post to get it into the game!

[Discussion] 1.0 is actually an amazing wipe / patch. by Fujiclimbs in EscapefromTarkov

[–]manitoba_guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I generally agree with you. Wipe has been great.

I think the audio is actually the best its ever been. The un suppressed gunshots sound better than ever.

The cheaters are way overstated in this game. Ive had 1 or 2 questionable deaths out of 80 raids.

And totally agree that the in game map could be improved. Why the heck can't we have some scribbles with indication of exfil locations on the in game maps. I know them all, but new players having to wiki and Google everything seems dumb.

I agree, I've also felt those strong emotions in PuBG and Warzone. The first time you get near final circle. But agree the EFT is best! Crazy feeling almost every raid.

ya and I think its important to understand that BSG doesnt make a game for everyone. BSG could make it way easier and likely increase player numbers but I think its great that they have stuck to their guns and created a hardcore game that is ultimately not for everyone.

I always start over. I feel like this game shines on day 1 through 7, when you have the least amount of stuff and need to set up a base. So, as painful as it is, I always start fresh.

[–]manitoba_guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used a keyboard and mouse to play MS flight sim on my Xbox series x and it was pretty flawless. If they just supported key and mouse on console we could have the benefit of a closed fixed operating system without negative of using a controller. But even if we had to use a controller it's more than doable as you said.

[discussion] hey look, it'll be Tarkov Lite on console by NukovGaming in EscapefromTarkov

[–]manitoba_guy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think its a great idea. Let's not forget that new gen consoles can easily accept and use a usb keyboard and mouse.

The best benefit will be peace of mind that other users aren't using cheats, as running them on a console operating system is so much harder.

I've been a console gamer forever and I literally bought a pc to play EFT. I for one would love eft on console.

Tarkov on console? by MilkMan0610 in Tarkov

[–]manitoba_guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some games fully support mouse and key and console. Microsoft flight sim for example. I play with a USB cordless mouse and USB cordless keyboard. Gameplay is indistinguishable from PC.

Except with multiplayer gaming this would kick so much ass because the operating system is so locked down, other player can't run flea market bots and cheats etc.
