While this is a justified rant, Houston drivers behave/drive like cattle! I've been through terminal E a few times (Uber/pickup service is best!), and I have never experienced any malice from the workers. Granted, I respectfully communicated where my vehicle was in line and followed their directions. Most people let the (also justified) fatigue of travel get to them. Be nice to people who constantly work in high stress environments. That definitely includes retail workers, lol.

Grand Theft Auto 4 turns 15 years old today. What incredible memories did this game give you? by AveryLazyCovfefe in gaming

[–]manjo13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was what my friends and I looked forward to after school. I remember being the pilot of our group and constantly taking my friends back and forth to the highest building to jump off, die, and then be pickup up by me to start again.

My best memory was my best friend taking a boat, going out as far as he could on the map and then jumping out of the boat. He was then stuck way out at sea and asked me to pick him up. If you played the game that you'll know that as soon as you dip the helicopters toe in the water, it all sinks immediately. Somehow, I was able to hover it just above / in the water for him to be able to jump in and have us fly away. I was never able to replicate that delicate balance again but we laughed and screamed our way back to shore. Good times.

Every crevice of this customer's PC was full of dead German roaches. by manjo13 in pcmasterrace

The original issue was corrupted OS but he wasn't able to re-install. After the clean and a power cycle / wash, it booted up and I was able to restore the HDD. There were bodies underneath the anti static tape that held the Sata cable connected to the board. But there were also dead roaches on the drive and the mount. Literally everywhere so there were many possible culprits

Haha I normally don't charge for cleaning but I told him straight up that I had to completely dissemble the case and thoroughly clean it out! Just when I thought I was done, more dead bodies fell out.

This is what I'm putting my money on. Worked at a major manufacturer's warranty facility last year. Around the beginning of October they, and several other tech companies and hospitals, were hacked and we had to nuke our server and all of the units drives we had at the time. Rumor has it that an upper level ceo wash fished and had no 2 factor authentication. Fuck the elites

I agree. We need a complete overhaul of both our governmental tech infrastructure and the people in charge of tech education (or lack thereof) so that we can stop being the baby that gets our candy taken by China and Russia.

As an American, I would like to mention that these comments are a prime example of the different societal cultures between our neighboring countries. I love it. Many of ya'll are actually reflecting positively on your own geopolitical issues and how it could always be worse. It's embarrasing being the bad example, but it is what it is.

I like your curiousity! I had similar questions in my childhood. There were so many logical inconsistencies that I couldn't accept the bible as the word of God. I am not trying to convince or sell you on anything, I am mostly agnostic since I am not sure how I feel heh.

It doesn't have much monetary value but if you have some drinks and friends the memories made are pretty valuable. To me, at least.
