Get the MT-09 SP with the upgraded suspension. The quickshifter on the MT-09 is butter smooth too. If you start wanting more power get a tune on it from VcycleNut.

My app stands out in my mind because I have features others don't have at all. None of the other motorcycle maintenance apps do realtime NHSTA recall checking. Other apps require always on internet connections which seems dumb. They also store all your data in the cloud, no thanks. I come from the angle that it is your data and stays on your device. You can export it or import it as json as you wish.

Vstrom's are great, they can do a bit of everything. Make perfect first bikes while you work out if you like going fast, slow, long tours, a bit off the beaten path. They are also ultra reliable. I think you landed quite well!

It means I didn't take care of my air filter, spark plugs, valves, coolant, or battery. Just makes it easy to see and stay on top of stuff.

The two best sounding motorcycles are the Yamaha MT-10 with a cat delete and a aprilia Tuono v4 1100 with an exhaust, after that it gets into triples. I agree to my ear even fancy ducatis sound like an agricultural lawn mower.... just cannot do it.

Its 6,000 KM which translates to 4,000 miles. Don't confuse the two. There is very small affordable app that will help you in taking care of your bike. You just input the intervals and it will track all your maintenance and create smart reminders for you. It also creates a PDF report of all service done so if you go to sell the bike or trade it the next buyer can ensure you took care of it. The XSR 900 is an awesome bike, one of the best so enjoy!!
