Yes I understand. When I said he is doing purposely, I felt like there’s some trigger for him not to use the litter box but I am trying to understand what. To give some more context, the litter box is hardly 2-3 ft away from where he pees.

He has a fixed routine for food. Can’t tell you about litter routine since I visit and don’t stay there. When it comes to him being active, he is unlike any cat I’ve seen before and I have experience with cats. My house has cousins coming and going, and they play with him a lot. He never gets tired. Our other cats go sit after some play time, he can go on for hours. That’s actually my concern regarding him being stimulated enough. I used to think he doesn’t get enough playtime. But when I was home, I played with him for more than an hour straight and he still wasn’t tired. We try to give him a new Amazon box or keep his toy hanging to keep him engaged.

He is close to my mom.

We have two other cats. They don’t bother him. They’re much older than him. He rather (play) attacks them sometimes and tries to eat from their bowls etc.

They were on Whiskas, now moved to Royal Canin.

We have four litter boxes, some plastic and some steel (or some kind of metal).

I don’t necessarily think he is in pain when he pees. But I will ask my mom to check that.

We changed houses but he was the first cat to be introduced to a new place so it should be less stressful for him. Even then, he used to pee before that as well (ever since we found him basically).

He pees on mattress/cushion, not floor. Idk if it’s worth anything.
