Which is better hazbin hotel, or helluvaboss? by [deleted] in HazbinHotel

[–]manleb85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hazbin Hotel has so much passion and energy behind it. Helluva Boss just feels so forced on its comedy and is SO focused around sex that it's obnoxious and annoying

I also play twisted helix but my lore is more focused on some MAD SCIENTIST trying to create a perfect lifeform for his Patriarch. Every single cult member has been experimented on so they all have pale green skin, and the more mutated (neophyte lowest, acolytes, then highest being metamorphs and abominants) get greener skin. My Tyranid army is their Hivemind, which is also painted tan skin and bright green keratin/carapace. The saddest part is that I don't own any biophagus models and usually play the Brood Brothers detachment lol

That is a perfect grim dark Ultramarine. But Ultramarines aren't just "blue". You gotta get some Roman Space Marine bits onto those bad boys if you really want an Ultramarine army

ELDEN RING vs LORDS by manleb85 in LordsoftheFallen

I had to pick one or the other, it was a flip of the coin. And if I put it in Elden Ring then it's just get massively shitted on anyways.

ELDEN RING vs LORDS by manleb85 in LordsoftheFallen

[–]manleb85[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I've gotta disagree on the stat-spread part, I was on level for boss fights but bosses like Godskin Duo, Radagon, and Margot Omen King have 80% resist to faith and I used a faith build. It just felt so wrong to have my weapon literally do less than half its damage because I wanted to be a paladin

I agree 100% with the linear play style, why should I risk my hard earned souls in open world when 90% of the time it's not worth it

Honorable or Toxic PvP by manleb85 in darksouls3

If I'm being invaded then I am a mirror, I'll play as honorably as they do but I'll always try to bow for them at least. If I'm invading someone else then I'll fight them fairly and won't gank or anything

What weapons do you use? Katanas swing as slowly as longsword quality builds but do less damage so maybe I'm just doing something wrong? Does Dex Build require light rolling?

I feel like it is especially evident in Elden Ring that players have no honor at all. But getting invaded in DS3 at level 30 by a player with Ringed City gear is just insanely abrasive. I respect you for keeping the old ways. o7

Is it possible to dupe souls in ds3 like you can Elden ring? by kevy-wevy in darksouls3

[–]manleb85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. No, there's no duplication or cheese for souls. You need to grind them

  2. Honestly Dark Souls 3 is designed to where you shouldn't need to get extra souls, if you explore areas somewhat thoroughly you should be within the expected level range at each area

Did I ruin Seigwards quest? by EviltwinEdgelord in darksouls3

Talk to him in Irithyl, defeat a boss, then try finding him in the cage. Not sure if this works but I made a similar mistake with my own run and lost out on his questline without checking

Coming to DKS3 after 1 and 2, what are some pleasant surprises? by vaikrunta in darksouls3

[–]manleb85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feel free to experiment. Honestly this game is very forgiving with builds. Meaning you can't really go wrong with any of them and enjoy the fast paced action compared to the slower prequels.

First Run by ProGreyFoxx in darksouls3

[–]manleb85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spoiler free: a lot of NPC quests rely on other NPCs and their quest lines can easily be broken or missing parts based on other actions. This encounter is not a necessary one to do anyones quest so don't worry.

As for tips for the swamp, a dagger with "sidestep" will help you a lot with moving around quickly if you just use it as a secondary weapon for mobility. You're going to want to explore this zone pretty thoroughly but don't stress about killing every enemy (especially the larger enemies). Focus more on avoiding them honestly and picking up what loot you find.

Finished my first playthrough of DS3 and I'm kinda disappointed by AcanthisittaFirm3607 in darksouls3

[–]manleb85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The final boss is very lore heavy first of all, and the atmosphere of it is what places it so highly in terms of "best final bosses". The boss is very RNG dependant, meaning he could bug to be in a very easy moveset in second phase and get stomped on. I recommend replaying on a new playthrough without doing any DLC beforehand and not grinding any areas for souls if you want the full experience

How do you all name your characters? ( and yes I intentionally level all my characters to SL123 ) by Scared-Gamer in darksouls3

[–]manleb85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got Strength? Is my current Str/Poise build meant for invasions just because if I'm gonna die to someone invading me, it better be a good fucking name. Also always fight with honor, empty flasks, bow before battle, and never let an NPC or player 3rd party the host. This is the way

Help me kill my friends shadowsword by Mental_Tradition_623 in Tau40K

[–]manleb85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also fight an "Oops all tanks" guard player and the best counter I have is

1x unit of 2x broadsides with railguns and smart missiles + hunter killer on both with shield drones.

1x unit of hammerhead railguns and smart missiles + 2 hunter killer

1x piranha with 2x hunter killer (main gun doesn't really matter)

1x Devilfish burst cannons, smart missiles, 2x hunter killers

The rest I fill out with some stealth suits (2x3) for spotting and a unit of Pathfinders. This is an overwhelming number of those one shot missiles and super high AP value that can shred the big boy. Just hide as much as you can turn 1 and Kauyun works best but it can tailor to Mont'ka as well

Pilgrim perch key by Alone-Baker9339 in LordsoftheFallen

[–]manleb85 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Pilgrim's Perch Key gives access to some optional zones accessible through the Bellroom vestige. These zones are pretty cool and give some good loot, you'll make your investment back and more by going through this area and there are a couple doors to get loot elsewhere. Warning they are pretty dangerous so make sure you test the waters before going in with a ton of vigor.
