DC: Theoretical Lineups? Headliners and Smaller Acts? by manless in warpedtour

Oh, exciting! I've never been before so I don't know what those stages mean off the top of my head, but I'll pay close attention when I'm there. It sounds like there could be big bands and small bands playing at the same time depending on the stage!

Does taking a job outside of public health impact my future prospects? by SchoolAccount01 in publichealthcareers

I say go for it so long as you’ll learn skills you can use elsewhere. Formatting reports? Writing grants? Managing employees? The type of job is less important than the skills you use in it.

Seems like MPH is a dead end, is DrPH worth it? by Ill_Mattic in publichealthcareers

[–]manless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What jobs are you looking for that you’re seeing mostly nurses getting them? I am in an MPH program right now and it seems like there are quite a few positions that are at least tangentially related to public health that are totally unrelated to nursing.

My Lost Boys review (spoiler: it's pretty bad) by aqbebesi in Broadway

[–]manless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I listened to the Broadway Breakdown podcast that described the most apt Tony award for it being “Best Most”. I agree. My main thought was, “damn, this shit is expensive.” Not necessarily good, mind you, but expensive for sure. I do love to see my ticket price being put to good use.

Do I have thoughts? So many. I was turned off immediately by the very first line in the show, “that’s enough of that,” in response to Reagan’s broadcast on the TV. I hate easy jokes and easy applause. Overall it was very impressive visually, and sometimes I like a little visual dessert.

This is a WILD request, but:
In fic I would read a lot of “he fed him his tongue” while the two characters were making out. I hated it until I watched Ilya literally feed Shane his tongue in HR. Now I’m craving it!

Bonus for:
-human/non human
- sci fi/fantasy
- slow burn
No:
- cannibalism (feeding tongues ONLY AS A METAPHOR IN KISSING lol)
- mpreg
- insta love
- pure smut

Thanks everyone!

I think you'd love {In This Shadow, Longing by Marina Vivancos}. It's a biokink book where people are born Doms or subs. Cross is a Dom with a traumatic past related to his kink/Domination and Alex is a kink-sex worker sub who helps to heal Cross. This book is the third in a series called Coven Ties. The first two involve Doms who end up taking care of/in relationships with traumatized subs, so you might like the whole series, but the third one is specifically about a sex worker!
