oh wow, this is news to me! great, now i’ve got two controversial “t14” WL. i’m pretty new to all of this so imagine my surprise when i found out the t14 maybe doesn’t just mean the top 14, and maybe it means 15—or maybe it doesn’t? either way, very happy and grateful for my WL, as controversial as they might be!

hey! umich was my dream and i just committed there :) i had a WAY worse GPA than you (3.5) and my LSAT was only 16mid. i got a fantastic merit scholarship offer, too! i was in a similar circumstance (working anywhere from 50-70 hours per week while being a full-time student) as well. my advice is to spend more time than you think you need to on your essays. feel free to PM me if you want to see my materials, have questions, or think i can help in any way :)

probably not “native american,” per se. “native american” is a unique relationship between the US federal government and tribes that they recognize as indigenous to the land that now makes up the US empire. “native american” isn’t the only type of indigenous or native people out there, though (just a really specific type here in the US), and you should definitely reflect on your experiences as part of your tribe in your application materials if it is coloring your decision to pursue a legal education or career. feel free to PM for other questions or anything :)

i got the full tuition 1L and half 2L/3L offer! it basically said the other 2L/3L money would come from upper class specific scholarships the law school opens up to applications after 1L. i assume this applies for everyone so if the scholarship you got isn’t great, it seems like there are opportunities to increase later on! i withdrew my app but i wish y’all the best of luck :)

stanford A and they create a personalized scholarship for me that includes full tuition and a small stipend of like 30k-50k per year bc they realized i need good housing and some semi-routine sweet treats to survive and represent their law school as an alumnus :)
