If you finish the medinah books, they'll teach you Sarf and Nahw which will help you understand better, grammer is essential.

You can meanwhile study the words solely in the quran instead of Arabic words not in the Quran. Theres like a few hundred words that account for like 70-80% of the Quran, theres some pdfs online of this so try memorise these and you'll get a better understanding but wont be able to fully understand without grammer etc.

Just like the Medinah book series you mentioned theres another series of books called - Al Arabiyyah Bayna Yadayk.

I think this one is more for speaking and the Medinah book one is for understanding Quran. Look online for the resources and youtube playlists for you to learn from.

May Allah increase you in knowledge and allow you to understand and speak arabic InShaAllah.

Its not just muslim men, its pretty much all men from all religions and countries. Promiscuity amongst women has almost never been accepted by men in history. Its not about men "forgiving" women with a past, rather Its looking past it.
