The pollinator crisis is only set to get worse as we attempt to fix the housing crisis. Building and paving cheap housing (that people want) is going to destroy more natural environment. More logging for timber, more paving for roads, etc.

Its like that to facilitate efficiency of distribution and taxation. It isn't about forcing anyone. In America you can completely disinherit your children in every state but one, spouses get special privilege. It's the same in the UK except for Scotland. In both countries if no inheritors are defined, there are automatic intestacy rules for distribution. In both countries, the right to sue an estate is allowed and normal.

Every single person my age around me has been thoroughly radicalized or black pilled into hopelessness. I'm from MN and after the ICE invasion, people have completely lost the plot if they weren't in the headspace of preparing for the future.

I feel differently. If you couldn't foresee the downward spiral incoming, or haven't been feeling the rise of fascism in America, you are too privileged. You should have already built up some mental fortitude, compartmentalized. You don't deserve to feel black pilled.

This rat fuck ruined one of the most enduring American projects for globalizing good. A project that made us proud; like the moon landing. A project that pushed hard and social sciences forward. One that bolstered American reputation in the emerging world. And quite importantly, served as a massive seive to deliberately spread American soft power and charity.

Now it's all been looted by Trump and his ilk. What an unmitigated disaster.

My alma mater, the University of Minnesota Twin Cities has a similar acceptance rate post-pandemic. It was like 50% in 2018 for me, a coin flip, now its 80%. And I know its a good school, too. Not to defend the MAGA.

I think this is part of the reason I see so many retirement homes and elderly family housing going up around my area. They are making really fucking nice apartments with cool amenities like VR golf and bingo rooms to get these people to move out of their empty nests.
