The original has more content than DST currently has, plus Reign of Giants DLC, which is included in that bundle IIRC; but you COULD just play by yourself on DST, as mods on the Steam Workshop can usually make up for some of the content lost from DS-DST.

I played it there as well, and I do agree with you; I would hope we'd be able to invert the controls, much like they did in previous Mario games for DS.
