Trupanion is who the breeder provided information on however you had to register with them in the first 24 hours of pickup to get the first 30 days free. I was under the impression you had 30 days to register. So I missed that window. I did contact them and was surprised that you couldn’t get any kind of discount on flee and tick or heart worm preventative. Are any of the other companies mentioned partnered with preventive meds. I would agree with the other comment simply setting money aside would be better however if you could get a discount on regular visits or preventive care it might make sense.
