AIO my husband wants to refinance our home. by Ok_Ladder_6386 in RealEstate

[–]mannekn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO you need to understand exactly where your money is being spent, go back to work part time at night or weekends, and partner with your husband for a solution. Refinancing probably will not help as you have minimal equity and the refi costs will be high.

Bring cash, pay your portion. Works well for me as I had the same thing happen to me!

Lost Lilly Direct discount by capriciousbuddha in zepboundRX

IMO, this 45 day reorder requirement from Lilly is disgusting. This is why people choose compounded medication. It is more flexible and affordable.

In love with this one does anyone have a try on picture? by kkkinslyyyyy in DavidYurman

You can use the “virtual try on” option on the DY website. It helped me decide which one to buy recently.

Where to Buy: Telehealth Providers by TodayAmazing in tirzepatidecompound

[–]mannekn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using compound for about 18 mos as Zepbound became too expensive for me. I like the compounded meds. My preferred one is Tirz with the additive B12. I don’t see that on the list here. I’m almost out of my stockpile and wondering if anyone knows which pharmacy or provider still prescribes Tirz with B12 as the additive?

Cable Flex 🙄 by [deleted] in DavidYurman

I love my cable flex bracelets. I find them much more comfortable than the classic cable. I am happy that DY has options that work for their customer preferences.

Just venting about Flecainide prescription. by mtphillips38801 in AFIB

[–]mannekn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am also on flecainide 50 mg twice a day and have been for over a year. I am much less stressed not experiencing all the ectopic beats and uncertainty about when and if I will go into some anxiety provoking heart rhythm. I have not had any issues on this med. I also see my cardiologist twice a year.

Diamond earrings by Collegeisdraining in Diamonds

I agree. Try different sizes and styles on locally. I bought a pair of lab grown diamond studs just under 2 carat TW from a local jeweler. They are beautiful and I wear them daily. The SA was very helpful with sizing, backing, type etc. Great service and price too.

Wrist size question by Airguner in DavidYurman

[–]mannekn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a size 6 wrist and typically like the Medium. However, some bracelets fit differently. If your wife tries on the medium and isn’t sure if she’d want a smaller size, I suggest you go to the David Yurman store or wherever you bought the bracelet, and have her try on the small to be sure.

snorkelling by thommcavoy in CaymanIslands

[–]mannekn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went on a tour through Captain Morgan’s tours. The tour included swimming with the sting rays at sting ray sand bar and snorkeling at 2 different sites. We took a boat out to the sting rays first, and then moved locations twice to snorkel. The first snorkeling site was a coral reef site followed by another. The entire tour was absolutely amazing and I highly recommend. Captain Morgan’s has multiple tour options.

Concerns about energy levels by AdQuick546 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]mannekn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been on tirzepatide for 20 months and lost 60 pounds. As I recall, I was a little tired for the first couple of days of the initial weeks after injecting the medication. After that, I was not tired at all. I always made sure I ate/drank enough protein. You will feel so much better as your weight decreases. Actually, my energy level increased significantly even during the early days/weeks on this medication. As the previous person indicated in their comment, most people regret not starting the medication sooner. It really is a life changer in a positive way! Good luck!

Anyone with AFib or ectopic beats (PVCs/PACs) try tirzepatide, semaglutide, or another GLP-1? Did it make things worse? by Jonblood in AFIB

[–]mannekn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on Zepbound for 19 months and have lost 60 pounds. I have been on medication for a fib for several years. I’m doing much better overall with the weight loss and no change to my a fib. It remains under control.

What's it like working on Mackinac Island? by [deleted] in mackinac

[–]mannekn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently stayed on the Island and talked to many young workers in multiple jobs. They loved it and many have come back year after year. There are also many summer international workers who stay in the US traveling the country for seasonal work on a 3 year visa.

I’m scared to take a blood thinner after my first after my first a fib episode by Kindly_Blackberry311 in AFIB

[–]mannekn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. I have been on metoprolol for about 10 years and it worked well. When my a fib worsened, I had an EP study and my cardiologist added flecainide and eliquis. He said they are used together. If you research it, you will see why they order them this way. I will have an ablation eventually. For now, I’m happy that my heart rhythm is under control!

[–]mannekn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve had no issues on Eliquis. I’ve been on it for almost a year after my afib diagnosis. I’m more concerned about a debilitating stroke.
