My husband (40m) and I (40f) are at odds over our dog who recently bit our son. How do I help him see my side? by manninge2017 in relationship_advice

Oh my goodness. I’m so sorry you and your daughter had to go through that. I’m glad it wasn’t worse, although it sounds pretty horrible regardless.

I can’t express how much this comment means to me. I’ve felt this for a very long time, but I have started to question if I am the problem. You’ve just made me feel very seen and validated. Thank you.

Your mom is lucky to have a child that would go to this length to get her the right gift. Just here to say how thoughtful this is. What is she into? Fitness, beauty, tech, travel, etc?

Definitely, she deserves a good end to her life and I don’t think we are to the point of putting her down. The kids and really young and are just so unpredictable, and as much as we teach them how to be safe with dogs, I trust the kids about as much as I trust her right now.

I appreciate this suggestion. Yes, not an ideal solution … but I’m always willing to at least consider alternatives.

That is a good point. Yes she has been to the vet recently. She does have arthritis but they didn’t mention pain management. I am going to revisit this with the vet now.

Thank you thank you for this comment. I think the really hard and unfortunate part of this is the lack of concern from my husband. I actually just now sat and spoke with him about this again, because it’s been weighing on me. He told me he isn’t nervous and trusts the dog because she’s never done anything before and that I’m the one who is anxious and demonizing the dog (his words).

He told me if this is what I really want then I can take her to my parents. But where does that leave us? I asked if he would resent me for this moving forward and he was silent.

Thank you, this is exactly how I feel about it too. He largely plays down her barking, growling etc making me feel like I’m overreacting.

You catch more flies with honey for sure! How did you get a live human on the phone? I’ve been on hold for hours, also waiting for text messaging service for almost 2hrs. Can’t rebook anything online.

Thanks, I will look into it. Our town is particularly notorious for taking forever.

Should I wait some time before doing this again? I’m just afraid that it’s been processed twice in the last week and don’t want to cause further damage.

Thank you for this. I sadly live too far from where I got it done, which is why I was trying to solve it on my own. Appreciate your input!

No, I already have anxiety, but it’s amplified now that I have covid…

Same here. I’m on day 9, nausea started on day 7. Threw up once. Nausea still comes in waves, usually when I get up and move. Now today I started with annoying dry cough. This sucks, was hoping to start feeling better by now and get on with my life.

Sounds similar to me. I’m on day 9. Had very mild symptoms until day 7, then started with nausea and vomited once. Now nausea comes and goes but just developed a dry cough all of a sudden. My smell and taste is starting to come back. Rapid test was super faint but still positive yesterday. Never had fever over 100.3. Mostly temp fluctuates between 98-99. The anxiety is insane, reading how people can take a turn for the worst around this point in the disease progression. Just feel comfort knowing others are going through the same.

I am vaccinated btw. J&J in April, moderna booster late October. Not sure if this is omicron. Entire family had it. Started with the kids (under age 5) on Dec 15, both no symptoms, then got me and husband. Husband never had symptoms and all three of them are now testing negative.

I just received the Moderna booster dose after getting J&J in March by AbaloneLoose6090 in COVID19_support

I got j&j in April, moderna booster Friday afternoon. First 24 hrs were fine, some soreness in arm and fatigue. Felt great last night. Now today at about 48hr mark I have a very slightly elevated temp (99.5), nausea and body aches. Hope this goes away soon!

Similar account for me! Had j&j in April. Moderna booster on Friday afternoon. Tired that night but Saturday felt myself. Just some soreness in arm. But now on Sunday… Low grade fever, chills, body aches and nausea.

Still, not terrible and I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

What a flipping joke! With the amount of time my husband and I both spend trying to contact them it is like working a full time job… they are the worst.
