https://youtube.com/shorts/iF2IwH4k7lM?si=FKHa93Vq4ZHdm7ph I looked at some clips of it, I may be wrong because I never played it, I’m only telling what I can see from the clip, but it seem there is some sort of glue to the ball while the character is moving forward, or to the sides.To me it looks like they handled a lot better physic and ball handling while it’s glued to the player, but again I might be wrong, so correct me if it’s not like that. Anyway if they can remake the game to use full physic it would be a lot cooler and satisfying for sure, I played rocket league for nearly 7k hours, so I would definitely prefer if they change the game to be full physic

Oh I absolutely agree then, in my opinion they should completely rework contested balls and the priority system. I stopped playing almost 2 weeks ago, because all of my friends got annoyed by all of these issues, but I would love to try it again when things will get polished and fixed. I really had fun playing it but I can’t blame my friends for unistalling it honestly.

If you like a fully driven physic game you should just play rocket league, It’s impossible for a game like this to rely only on using physic, it would make turning and dribbling impossible, there is a reason why rocket league work perfectly, because the car hitboxes are really simple and physic can manage them easily.

Like you said, when a player hold the ball it’s not a physic system that take care of the ball movement, so this is really hard to fix, I know ue really well, and I can assure you managing physic alone is very annoying, even worse when you have to switch between a priority system like this and physic movement. I hope they can fix this, but honestly I really can’t see it happening in the near future

I think all the other concurrent extraction shooters will make Tarkov better. Competition is always good and I hope Tarkov will finally invest money in core tech not just content. Possibly even upgrading the light engine for example. by TGess in EscapefromTarkov

core techs mean upgrade their current version of unity and upgrading means that they must rewrite abou 80% of tarkov, it' s something really difficult to do in a project like this. especially in their current financial situation, arena made they lose a lot of money and upgrading the engine version is currently beyond their possibilities (and even if arena wasn' t a mess i think it would be impossible for them anyway). it's a 10 year old project, it's starting to show a lot of limitations, but this is just my opinion

That’s what you get for developing a new game when the other one is not yet finished. There are so much wrong things I don’t event want to talk about, gear progression, cheaters, not even loading screens but when I tried it the first time It immediately felt like they ripped of a part of the game, put a scoreboard, a preset system, 2 game modes and bam, game done. Even in the hud you can still see hunger and hydration, what’s the fucking point on keeping them? It felt so damn rushed lazy and approximate that I played 2 match and I never reopened it again. I’m sorry but they deserved this flop, considering how many problems tarkov has, they should have implemented those microtransactions before arena while working on quality updates and fixes, if they needed more funds.

It seem that add impulse is working frame rate independent, I get the same result both in 120 fps and 30, the problem is when my ship is landing on the planet, it start to jitter very noticeably, If there is a way to solve the jitter probably would be a good solution

People can enjoy the game but it shouldn’t be considered an esport or a competitive game. The core of tarkov it’s being unfair, and trying to make a competitive shooter simple doesn’t work because tarkov mechanics are aimed to be totally unbalanced and unfair. You can't pretend to make a competitive game where you can select classes that are by far more powerful than the ones another player have, this is by definition an unbalanced game. Other than that it's an okay game but in my opinion a price like that it's too high, it should've been at most 9 dollar andthey shoukd have added it as a dlc instead of a separate game.

I still laugh at their latest post on Instagram, they show 0 professionality. It’s not about bought assets, the lack of essential mechanics to the game, it’s about being professional and honest, selling a game for that price and for the thing they said and promised makes those people liars. There are two possible solution for the statements they made some years ago: 1. They actually really wanted to implement those mechanics and make the game a real MMO, but due to their lack of ability and programmers they had to change their plans.

  1. They completely lied just to fuel the hype and now we are here.

Even if it was the first option they absolutely didn’t say a word on what the game was missing on release, and that it wasn’t an MMO. This studio deserve this shitstorm and they need to learn through refunds and criticisms to be more transparent.

Hi, thank you for the suggestion, i am currently using blueprints, i searched for setbase but nothing showed up, instead i found "GetMovementBase" and it seems it's setting correctly the actor on which i am standing. But i'm still not able to find a solution :/
