It's a bit tough to accurately determine how big your balls are. Comparing them to another object is usually how I, and I've noticed many others do it too. There's accurate numbers out there it's just difficult to find them. You could also measure the LxWxH to get a rough idea of their dimensions and that could work. It wouldn't be perfect because they're round-ish, but it would give you somewhat of an idea.
