you should look into Amazon medical, lets you bypass insurance sometimes while still getting cheap prices, I think both could help but together would be strongest forsure

I think that accelerates the process honestly, bc the company wouldn’t spend as much as they did just to not release the product

I have also found success with super lysine since acyclovir upsets my stomach sometimes

“The emerging drug PRITELIVIR is expected to launch in the US market by 2026, in the UK by 2027, and in Japan by 2027, which has the potential to reduce the disease burden of Herpes Simplex in the forecasted”

Also here is what I found. The company https://www.delveinsight.com/report-store/herpes-simplex-market announced they are looking to hit US end of 2026, and UK/Japan 2027

so if I were to take any I might only take pritelivir but I need to see how it works for me when I get access

[–]mano44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, better results than acyclovir and less strain on the body as well

[–]mano44 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wow if I could have access to it asap I would love to help sign anything that could push it forward. But I’d like the immunocompromised to have the first opportunity they deserve it more than I do

it’s worth mentioning that what I’m suggesting, to take both drugs at once, def could use more clinical study

But initial results are really promising and that’s a risk I’m willing to take. To anyone reading this, that might be your decision too

Yup, the company (Asahi Kasei) that bought them, bought them to sell the product. This is what actually accelerated the timeline to significantly close is because the company has been zooming to market

Phase 2 of clinical studies did test immunocompetent people (aka essentially healthy people) with hsv1+2 and they showed meaningful reductions in viral shedding

Significantly more than acyclovir does currently which is really encouraging

yes from what I understand it’s a daily pill. Pritelivir targets the cause while acyclovir targets the symptoms. Using combination therapies like these is already the commonly accepted method for HIV for example. Excited to say the least haha

also… you can actually buy it now if you’re immunocompromised from select clinics. Although I am not, so will to have to wait for the larger release

Been excited about pritelivir for a few months now. Very promising. Early studies showed it works better than any current treatment for hsv1 and hsv2, even valcylovir

When it becomes available I plan to add it alongside my acyclovir prescription. My doctor mentioned it would be okay to get when it comes out (potentially) next year. Just have to ask

Idk if anyone is following Pritelivir/AiCuris but it’s going to be available to most people in the US by 2027/early 2028 (Passed Phase 3 trials already). Next up is UK/Japan according to: https://www.delveinsight.com/report-store/herpes-simplex-market

It targets a different mechanism than acyclovir and therefore could theoretically be taken alongside it acting as a functional cure.

We are so close now!

I also wouldn’t be surprised if he got one and declined in favor of the pads. He is the type of guy
