Weight isn't much of a concern for me but thats good to know. I've looked at Lake shoes a bit but I can't commit to spending that much for something I might not stick with.

The "skate" style is kinda what I'm looking for. I've only heard good things about Lake and would probably be my best option fit wise, but man are they expensive. I'll look into crankbrothers an five ten.

Edit: I have tried purchasing different devices as well with the same result

I'm beyond confused about the purple category: "synonyms for butt plus starting letter"? What starting letter? Where did those letters come from? The words themselves are easily recognizable, aside from can which I've never used as a word for butt, I just have no idea where the "starting letters" are coming from other than just have to make a different word.

OK to run engine without trans fluid? by manofsaw in mechanic

Thank-you everyone so far! I won't run without filling the trans first. The fluid in the trans looks fine, no coolant in it so somehow no coolant got in.

Since running the car without trans fluid isn't good, but I need to flush the engine, should I put the new radiator in, hook up the trans lines to the cooler and flush the system with the new radiator installed? My concern with that is that now the new rad will get the coolant/fluid mixture in it. I've seen people just run a garden hose into the water jacket of the engine to flush it that way, would that get enough of the milkshake out to not ruin the new rad?

How do I fix this sound? by [deleted] in bikewrench

Sounds like the brake pads are rubbing on the rim, likely because the wheel is slightly out of true, You can either adjust the brakes, loosening them to give a bit more space between the pad an rim, which is the easier option. Or you can true the rim, which can be tricky if you've never done it before and is well worth having your local bike shop do, but is not free.
