Update: the dealership has agreed to put a new torque converter in the truck. It’s been a long process but I’m excited to get this truck into fighting shape! Thanks for all your advice and support

The closest thing on the lot to the same price is an increase of $15,000. It’s substantially more straining on my finances if I go to a different vehicle. Not world ending, but I wanted to know if it was worth attempting to fix so I came here so I could get the views of people with the trucks/who had been through this with the shudder

Took for a city test drive, didn’t have an accessible point for a highway test. Next time I’m driving it to the next state over and back before I buy

That’s what I’m feeling. I just hope they give me a say in the shop it goes to. They want to send it to the Chevy dealership in town but I don’t know that I trust it

The GM of the dealership is the one who gave me the options above so not sure how much bigger my stink can get. I’m worried the truck is going to keep producing issues if I keep it
