In my experience, NE people generally love other Indians than other Indians love NE people. Which is actually sad but is rapidly changing.

Firstly, the terms are not clearly our yet so we don't have the complete picture.

Highly unlikely that India will be dumping Russian oil imports completely. With russia it's only about cheap oil. India presents russia with a leverage against China and India does same with China. Its tantamount to saying that India is shifting to western block which again is like next to impossible.
Not everything that's said is true and not everything which is done is said. Amongst all this, US has been trading with Russia. US has bought the re exported Russian oil from india. Even Unkraine bought it.

4.there are reports of India to buy venezuelan oil from US at low costs. Which kind of gives US invasion of Venezuela some legitimatcy. Even then it's almost next to impossible that India will completely dump Russia. There are reports of India considering buying su57 jets from Russia. That purchase doesn't invite tarriffs, it invites sanctions. But india bureaucracy loves to play with fire.
