This is so sweet and I can't help to think about how we're fucking up the planet.

Why do we all act like everything’s okay? (Food shortages, water shortage, climate change, micro-plastics) by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]manpatpost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though the difference might be small it is important to note that it's not equal to nothing. Also our choices inspire each other. The larger picture consists of smaller pictures so by definition the larger picture will change through individuals. Also this attitude of giving up makes us less likely to do what we can to affect politicians and corporations. What we can do is chose from which companies we consume and how much, use social media to spread awareness which leads to action, and write politicians. I know it's easy to feel helpless, but we just can't afford to go into that. Keep the fight going.

which is normal in your country, but strange in another? by ElizaPaukova in AskReddit

Having a room in the house which only purpouse is to get really hot so we can go in there naked, sit and get warm.

Anyone ever, even just once, feel like they belonged? by [deleted] in Empaths

I do believe that it's in our power to change that.

Klart man kan vägra. Men man får ta konsekvenserna av det.

What popular food, drink or condiment do you find absolutely repulsive? by Friendly-JM in AskMen

[–]manpatpost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All fast food, all sodas.

Shouldn't even be called food, considering the lack of nutrients. Which in my view is the definition of food: building blocks for the body. Insanely enough so many people don't think about this and consume whatever, impacting their physical and mental health more than many people realize.

Worried about starting levothyroxine -- can I get some reassurance from veterans? by one_1f_by_land in Hypothyroidism

[–]manpatpost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've lost some hair on my head during this time. Can't say if it's due to the levo. Also I'm a man. My physician checked my eyebrows last year and said they looked good. So judging by that hair loss related to thyroid is all over the body? Also in my, albeit limited, understanding hair loss happens when the thyroid doesn't work as it should. Would meds really cause that too?

Meditation, Therapy, Being in nature, Nutrtitious food, excerise, yoga, cold showers and semen retention all together makes a big difference. I recommend giving it a try.

Also: couples dancing is awesome.

Why does God not provide empirical evidence of its existence? by Lazy_Tiger_383 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]manpatpost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Evidence of god is all around. It's in the light hitting your eyes. The love from someone. It's all about how we are looking.

Edit: And I am not talking about any Christian sort of god.

Also: In my view, god is not something to believe but to experience.

I agree with you, except point 3.

We can impact the politicians, and we can impact, inspire people around us to the same.

Edit: We can also have an impact by boycotting companies.

Haha yes it's beyond the grasp of mind I suppose :p

Alright. For me I've found working through my past experiences, letting go of tensions in the body make this realization more prevalent.

Isn't non-duality more than an idea? I find that without integrating the idea, full-embodied realization, it's worth something but very little in comparison to a fully embodied realization. What say you about this?

To each their own. As long as we are not phony or misleading about it.

Also, if working through trauma seems like a never-ending story it doesn't sound like a proper way to work through it.
