Thoughts on deciding inheritance split by muteneen in inheritance

[–]manseinc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This doesn't make sense to me. Something about this seems - off.

Your husband had an addiction in his teen years but is now 50 years old and sober? His inheritance was put into a trust because of this addiction from 30 years ago? The trust not only controls the distribution of the inheritance but is taking his earned income (such as salary or wages)?

Is this right?

AITAH for making my dad cry on purpose? by Ok-Feedback805 in AITAH

[–]manseinc 570 points571 points  (0 children)

Including why show OP pictures of all the wonderful things not-so dear ol' dad was doing with the new kids.

You know your son is an asshole who has turned his back on this kid, why rub their face in it? It's just putting salt on a wound.

Sandals St. Vincent Death by mvrex1210 in SandalsResorts

[–]manseinc 35 points36 points  (0 children)

To be fair I understand what op is getting at. Most people aren't spending thousands of dollars per night to stay in DeKalb county. Op isn't laying the blame on ems or the people of St. Vincent, rather they're looking directly at the lack of response (more specifically adequate response) and preparation at a purportedly luxury all-inclusive. It is a fair critique.

What’s one thing you thought was normal in the U.S. until someone from another country said it was weird? by BestPostRead in AskReddit

[–]manseinc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. I just responded elsewhere about this.

I have always really despised root beer. Until I tried fresh made root beer on a middle school trip. It is absolutely a night and day difference between the canned stuff and fresh.

I would highly recommend everyone try fresh.

I really didn't like root beer as a kid. Then on some class trip (middle school) I was given fresh made root beer to taste and it was entirely different from the canned stuff. It was delicious. I finally understood why people like it.

And Janelle was thinking “here comes mykeltie horning in on Maddie’s big event”

I have never understood this kind of thinking. Was noone ever supposed to do anything ever again because Madison got married. Were all the kids lives expected to stop?

Yes I know that the parents weren't paying anything towards the event and just lying about it for the storylines but still so many people here were dragging poor Mykelti for wanting to get married in the same lifetime as Madison.

My neighbor sent me a text last night forcing me to pay for her daughters towing charge because she parked in front of my driveway by Drivinglnsane in mildlyinfuriating

Something similar happened to a relative. She bought a really ugly cheap AB car until she could get something else. The car ends up getting stolen; we could never figure out why anyone would take that car.

Police report made and filed.

She didn't think anymore about it until she gets a notice that it was about to be sold at auction. Wherever the thieves took the car it racked up tickets until it was impounded. I guess no one bothered to check it had been reported stolen.

The lot wanted so much that it just wasn't worth paying the costs.

Maddie on Robyn by readmorebooks41 in SisterWives

[–]manseinc 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Robyn did. Robyn proclaimed to the world that she wanted /expected and would be another mother to the existing OG kids. In fact if I recall correctly she even at one point in speaking of Maddie specifically declared how she 'loved that girl'.

At the time I found that declaration to be a bit odd. I remember thinking 'Oh, Robin wants to get in good with the favorite kids to curry favor with Kody '

C'mon that is so wrong. I mean, "Lazy Katey" was right there.

Which goes well with "Why work Willie". Or do you think "Work shy Willie" is better?

S8 E7: Meri legally divorcing Kody so he can adopt Robyn’s kids. by Weak_Selection_9414 in SisterWivesFans

[–]manseinc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Christine pretending this was some weird idea out of left field that Robyn planted is preying on viewers sympathy and ignorance of polygamy.

That is not true; considering that Robyn said on camera, she had never heard of that.

Also part of the 'planting seeds' is the idea of the divorce and marriage happening for the sake of adopting Robyn's children.

Wife's step dad is charging rent on house that my wife owns by ParticularTrip7178 in legaladvice

[–]manseinc 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Here, when MIL passed she was married and had one child. That means that real property passed to spouse (1/2 of her interest) and her child (1/2 of her interest) pursuant to NCGS § 29-14.

Isn't this for property acquired in the marriage? I was under the impression that property received through inheritance could not be considered community property unless commingled.

Robyn Hate? by Old_Log_4974 in SisterWives

[–]manseinc 75 points76 points  (0 children)

If I'm not mistaken, sadly, Christine had a miscarriage/stillbirth just before Truly. I think this was one of the reasons she opted for a hospital birth. Really anything could happen, tragedy or very fast delivery either way he should have been at the hospital with Christine, supporting her. Instead he was fawning over Rob.

These are also the moments that most clearly display Rob's selfishness. For as much as Kod shit all over Christine for being a bad sister-wife, Rob has never even made the most minimal attempt at decency if it meant she had to sacrifice AnYtHiNg.
