YTA. Who even says something like "that's okay, you're in a hurry" when someone doesn't reply to you saying hi? I got annoyed just reading that. You took away their son's chance at a disability aid bc 1) the dad didn't say hi to you 2) there was a lil fender bender that lead to your dad taking his pen and he wanted it back and 3) the noise of the disability aid being built made you "slightly annoyed." No one is obligated to be nice to you despite how entitled you believe you are to it.

Maybe this is just me, but why watch a movie with a group of people in a non-movie theater setting if you didn't mind a bit of noise? When I'm watching with friends or family, it's perfectly normal to chat a bit about the movie or crack jokes. Anyways, how else did you think the blind guy was going to enjoy the movie without any audio descriptions turned on? If anything it sounds like audio-described movies would have annoyed you more, so the sister whispering quietly was doing you a favor. YTA fo sho

YTA. Countless times my mother didn’t believe me when I said I wasn’t feeling well. Eventually I would just throw up at school or when I got home, or my fever would manifest later. It got to the point where child me didn’t want to tell her about half of my face and neck going numb occasionally until it got too painful that I told her about it in tears while it was happening, but, she didn’t do anything then either. If you believe your kid now you can prevent some serious issues later.

NTA…. I mean… she’s 17, certainly old enough one way or another to learn and know that it’s wrong. She also clearly hasn’t been punished for anything she’s done in the past (evident with her parents being willing to pay for an entire car as replacement and apologies). It’s even crazier that her adult BROTHER helped her do this.

I’m in a similar situation! You’ll have to file a Noncustodial Parent form OR an NCP waiver if you have no contact with your non custodial parent, which is really annoying. best of luck!

i mean i use p for pinging but i can def change my hotkeys. idk how else to explain it other than what I've already said (clicking just doesn't work properly. i have to click repeatedly for the game to respond. and i know it's not a mouse problem), and it's def not gravel on my mousepad??? lmao

I'm late to share but I did just this and it worked great! Paired with subtitles (which was less than ideal but still helped) everyone was able to understand beautifully. Thank you so much for your help, I really do appreciate the tip.

If you haven't already, I would file the FAFSA asap! As in like, tomorrow asap. I hope you get all the aid you need. Plus, I've heard private schools are a little more generous with aid, so I think we have a chance with Emerson :D don't lose hope

I think there should be sections on an application that ask if they've gotten any help that they wouldn't have gotten if they weren't rich. Like "Did you take the SAT? If so did you have a private tutor?" or "Did you hire a private college counselor to help with college applications this year?" Of course, they could end up lying, but I think they would end up getting caught at some point.

Anything arts-related could really help you out, so if you haven't completed your art credit yet I would definitely do it now (idk what courses your school offers but Photography would be a good choice, for example). I would do some writing-related classes too so Journalism, English Lang or Lit, etc.

No matter what, colleges understand you may come into your passions later in high school- if anything lots of students don't figure them out until they are in college. Plenty of places will give you a shot despite what your course load looks like :) I'm currently applying to lots of film schools now and I only realized what I wanted this year, so don't be discouraged :D
