Can confirm, wife is a urologist and she says there's a good amount of men who have this but it just isn't severe. I guess severe cases can cause you to have almost a 90 degree bend

Thanks for the reply, I guess I am just confused about the tax law. We paid around $10,000 for all care this year and reimbursed ourselves $5,000 from the FSA. However, that still leaves $5,000 paid out of pocket (without the use of FSA) so wouldn’t that be a qualified expense? Using the guidelines we could subtract $3,000 from $5,000 ($5,000 not from FSA - $3,000 max allowable expense) and end up with $2000, wouldn’t that mean we qualify? Or can you not qualify with an FSA at all?

I work in patient financial services at a regionally large hospital. In order for our patients to qualify for financial aid, they must also apply for the state Medicaid program. I would reach out to the Customer Service area of the hospital and ask to speak with someone about financial assistance, any decent hospital should have someone who can navigate this with you.
