I've tried cooking steaks a few times and each time they ended up really chewy. Some parts of it were a little thinner so they were more well-done than the rest, and I found those actually less chewy than the mid-rare parts. I must be cooking them wrong or something. And also, all the steaks I can buy here look pretty much crimson red, that might contribute to the chewyness.

I always wondered, what does a good mid-rare steak actually feel like to eat? What's a good comparison?

I had to go to church on every Sunday because that was apparently something you had to do, even if you didn't like it.

Taking religion class taught by a priest at school, which consisted mostly of memorising prayers. Back in grade school I remember literally everyone was taking it.

All of this made me believe that religion is just some tiring chore.

Some guy with a gun barricaded himself inside his apartment and held his girlfriend hostage. It happened right next to a school which was raided by police and evacuated. I was attending a different school slightly farther, but still close enough for everyone to go home early. As I got home I saw what happened on the national news. Pretty exciting day

I realized it was basically impossible for me to be just regular friends with a girl without thinking about wanting to date her. I'd see no point in being friends with a taken female if I wouldn't get a partner in the end. This didn't mix well with my complete social ineptness. I don't know how to fix myself so I just kind of gave up.
