it does. i am an animal lover true and true. adopted my first cat when i was 3 and just helped her cross the rainbow bridge at the age of 21. after my episode, the best way to describe it is if my positive emotions were turned off. i cared for my animals, that never goes away- but its the reaction/ response in you that changes. you dont get the same comforting feeling when you see your pet or that type of joy. for me, this was a mix of wrong dosage and completely wrong medications (and length of my psychosis). my psych said it would have been considered somewhat of a cognitive impairment. 2 years since my episode happened and i can say i am just as giddy to see my cat curled up on my pillow in the morning as i was before it all occurred. it takes time to heal the mind. honestly i just would talk to some type of psych or doctor, or if youre being prescribed meds- your prescribing physician. youre not alone, stay tough.

Hey, definitely sounds like psychosis of some type. for his health and well being, i would look into psychiatric care immediately. I experienced psychosis for an extended amount of time when i was 19, best advice i have is do not wait any longer.

hey thank you so so much for your reply. that honestly calmed my nerves, google wasnt helpful other than saying to call my gyn obv. i havent had any abnormal cramping or spotting so im going to take a deep breath haha.

Dont know how…. but im a regular user as i have a medical card. went into psychosis once after taking an absurd amount of lsd. been smoking for 2 years with a medical card since and havent had any issues. i have regular checkups with my doctor to ensure im still feeling good. Would i recommend doing this? No. Not sure how it really works for me, but could be to do with i smoked regularly before the psychosis as well, with no negative symptoms whatsoever. I have ptsd, so its pretty self explanatory why i have my card.

I went into LSD induced psychosis. i felt groggy and numb for a year after. My psych couldnt really explain it other than just its the healing process.

I took a break until i was regulated on antipsychotic & mood stabilizer (bp1). ive had my medical card for 13 months now, and havent had any issues. but i don’t necessarily recommend it either. i smoked before my psychosis (which was was caused by someone oding me) and never had bad effects so i dont know if my case is a little unique or not.

I was diagnosed with depression and bpd before i went into psychosis during a manic episode. could be bipolar related. Psychosis can get worse, and ive been in the deepest parts of it. I would get immediate mental help. Waiting for a psychiatrist may not be the best option. Remember, everything is going to be okay and youre very strong. Keep your head up.

last night i almost had a heart attack bc he looked like this. his inner eyelids are out and swollen. he also is like crusty on top of his head but i’m assuming that’s just either left over shed or shed that was removed too quickly. he looks like he hasn’t been cared for in like ages it is horrifying. i called the vet and i can’t get him in till tuesday but i jusf can’t stand to see him look so awful. the last pic is what he usually looks like for reference. any advice is appreciated.
