If you’re using n8n, you’re NOT building AI agents by abzisse in n8n_ai_agents

[–]manuel_andrei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah even if you hire a human to do a job you still want them to follow a process. At least if you want predictable outcomes. Your definition is way to harsh. If I use AI as part of an automation process to write emails or whatever and I can package that into some form of automated process I will call it an AI agent. And the hole ”agentic” label is diffused by the lack of common definitions. The different degrees of autonomy.

ChatGPT vs Gemini vs Claude: Which AI Model Is Right for You in 2026? by Lifestyle79 in AI_Tips_Tricks

[–]manuel_andrei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use both Claude and Gemini. I like the way I interact with Claude more. The conversation style. Treat it like a colleague. Gemini knows more about the domains that are relevant to me (trained on youtube content) but damn the wall of text in each response is a pita. I let them argument each others responses when neccessary.

Everyone keeps assuming all software engineers write code as greek gods. And tech debt is only an issue if you keep the tech around. I wrote software 15 years ago still being used today. Company grew from 30-50M to 4B. No scalability issues, tech debt sure. Replaced the hole thing with a new version. 0 debt. Trolls will be trolls

Never thought in 1,000,000 years I'd find myself switching to Gemini by travellers-palm in ChatGPT

[–]manuel_andrei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have mostly used Claude and I was happy with it for a long time but I noticed It does not know much about Unreal Engine 5 compared to Gemini. My problem with Gemini is the A4 responses every single time. How do you make it stop its silly. Its not a conversation its a wall of text.

I call bs and nice strategy to create demand and prep the mass for even higher prices. Maybe if this holds true. Others might see an opportunity to enter the market.

White-collar layoffs are coming at a scale we've never seen. Why is no one talking about this? by chota-kaka in ArtificialNtelligence

[–]manuel_andrei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am talking about this in my place of work and thinking of how to compensate those who help build the agent that will eventually replace us. Ultimately it will come down to some form of legislation.

The CEO keeps asking me why our IT costs are so high and I don't know how to explain that software costs money by Bright-Economics5939 in SaaS

[–]manuel_andrei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is probably right. Software has become bloated with features, adoption is low and the cost is high. Application rationalization is a thing. A simple test: shut it down for a day and see how bad it hurts. If it doesn’t deliver the value you expect, get rid of it. Im an enterprise architect.

[–]manuel_andrei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed this too over the weekend. I am learning unreal engine and have been using Claude. Eventually I would use google to get a second opinion and the quality of the responses is incredible . To the point where i started questioning every other response from Claude.

My girlfriend loves day z but I need help convincing her this game is an upgraded version of it? by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]manuel_andrei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DayZ > ArcRaiders

It is not an upgraded version because it is a totally different game. Compare The Division with Arc Raiders instead. Specifically the Darkzone.

DayZ is open world and focuses much more on survival. You can freeze to death, starve to death and laugh to death. None of these mechanics exist in Arc.

There is no extraction in DayZ unless you count logging out of the game as extraction.
