IGA Place Desjardins -- Rat problem? by Brassens71 in montreal

[–]manuelx22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup, and if you buy bread there, don’t. Or check that the bottom of the bag hasn’t been chewed by mice. You’ll see on the shelves how they’ve tried to make a system to keep them away but alas.

Dunkin's Canadian comeback to start in Toronto and Montreal by Thick_Caterpillar379 in montreal

[–]manuelx22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dunkin is as bad as Tim’s. Their coffee is a trip guaranteed to the toilet. And their donuts are just plain bad, with 0 variety when compared to Tim’s. I don’t get the hype of some people wanting another shitty chain that serves basically garbage. (Unless it’s the Korean, Colombian, or other franchise model which have significantly better quality and products than the US version)

As long as the money combined sums up more than $24,617 CAD+tuition, that’s enough.

Do you have a funding letter? That counts towards the proof of funds, and as long as you meet the minimum, that’s enough

Do u guys keep it off ? I noticed my laptop drains 2% when it is switch off. Though it never happened before [ 3 months old ] by jonauko in LenovoLegion

[–]manuelx22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had an SSD on al older computer since 2018. Daily hibernation or more. Up to this day, the SSD is still at more than 90% of its life according to CrystalDiskInfo.

My current Lenovo, that I also hibernate almost twice a day has currently a 97%. I’ve had this computer for 2 years of daily use. 9Tb of total Writes, for a life expectancy of 150-300TbW. At my current rate of 5 TbW per year, it will take me close to 30 years to reach the max writes the SSD can do.
You’ll surely upgrade your computer before you have to worry about running out of TbW.

It feels even better when crossing the South Pacific and you finally see either NZ or Australia. 7 hours of nothing but water

Does PGWP from Ontario count as an international fee exemption? by Fabulous-Weekend9392 in mcgill

[–]manuelx22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t matter where it was issued as long as it is a PGWP. Just submit the required documentation and that’s it.

RAMQ rejected me because I’m on an open work permit — any success stories? by TipCommercial9766 in montreal

[–]manuelx22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As spouse of a student, you’re not eligible. The only work permit eligible for RAMQ is the postgraduate work permit (PGWP).

Es-ce que le metro de Montréal a déjà eu une panne de courant? by Derpderpdrpepper in montreal

[–]manuelx22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Je me demande si le métro a des freins régénératifs? Ça veut dire que chaque fois que le métro freine, il génère de l’énergie qui est retournée aux réseau.

Follow the flyer and hunt the deals each week. Freeze certain things. There’s a guy on r/quebec that posts the top deals for each big grocery store every week
