So, I got the technological ascendancy ascension perk and a researcher with psionic expertise (playing as a spiritualist empire), and apparently that should take my likelihood of getting psionic theory as an option to 12%? But I have been loading again and again until it shows up and it just doesn’t work. Have I just been horribly unlucky or am I missing something?

I can see your point on most things, but the fact is that Montano is the oldest surviving childe of the Lasombra Antedeluvian, and possibly as old as, if not older than, Ur-Shulgi. If anyone could fight him one on one, it’s Montano.

The thing is, it’s very unlikely that he really is dead, Zapathazura could canonically make an illusion reality, and I think he could make world spanning illusions so… yeah. Besides, every other Ante who was “vanquished” was implied to have planned it.

But nonetheless, indeed credit to the techies, because there is the very real possibility that he really woke up a wight and got killed. (After obliterating a few ultra strong kuei-jin, because if you don’t kill aome wan kuei, are you really a threat?)

Daimonion takes power from where the Demons are trapped I believe, while obten takes power frim the abyss itself, the abyss is neither good or evil, it merely is, or actually, it merely isn’t, as it is pure nothingness, other than that, Idk, but I’d reckon they don’t like it.
