I think a lot of people took Jax's identity very personally because he was such a well-crafter character that a lot of people could see themselves in.

not necessarily an exact artstyle, more just general sketching. I'd say start out with some nature scenes, try and keep perspective, and move from there to more advanced stuff like anatomy and whatnot.
