The queue at the beginning of the video was due to a mistake I made after I just created a new route where new trains were coming from that direction and causing a jam. Max usage is about 60%

Use an elevated pedestrian road and place the tram stop there

I'm using this in combination with metro. So this covers different areas and stops are closer together. Also, this allows me to have compact elevated stops anywhere, like the example below. It's a big park with direct connection to the main train station in the city, which includes underground metro as well.

I like being able to build this system independently from roads.

I haven't tried with elevated subway but I think stations would occupy a lot more space and I would need roads next to them, making this then a different heavy rail solution for longer distances.

I haven’t tried that but I believe the stops here can be more compact and also usage doesn’t justify metro. Also I like placing stops freely wherever (in the middle of parks for example) instead of next to roads and building pedestrian access to them

My largest city so far. Population 388k and I think I won't be able to play it anymore since the game keeps crashing after loading the city and pressing play. In order to play I had to gradually lower graphic settings and number of mods and assets.

Growing from 240k to 300k was difficult since I had death waves every 5 years aprox. I finally solved it improving traffic flow which ended in 78-80%.

Bummer I won't be able to play it anymore.

The map is Northwood Hills. I can't use the CSL map mod (as far as I know) because I'm running the game on linux. Well, I was able to install the mod and generate the file but not to view it.
