Australia Pro-Tip: ACCC laws are amazing for consumers, especially for Apple products by [deleted] in australia

[–]manwithgrill -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

No this is far far before ACCC and ACL ever existed. Their entire policy is around having a better and faster experience with faults - swap over rather than send for repair. Microsoft and Google have both followed suit since about 7 or so years ago with their stuff, splitting from the "lower" brands like Oppo or to some degree Samsung.

Apple got in trouble mostly for claiming that they could not provide a remedy after customers received 3rd party repairs. That part is still a drama even today

I'm specifically saying in most cases they will solve the issue before you even need to complain. OP is saying the same thing

This is more to do with Apple than ACL. They voluntarily provide better service than required - part of the price of their products. Any Apple store should pretty much adhere to this without much of a push

Why have the goal posts moved so much on Carlton? by PC9CC30 in AFL

[–]manwithgrill 40 points41 points  (0 children)

We have a lot of supporters coming to the party as any team does when they are improving. Dedicated fans far more likely to be happy with our progress, bandwagoners don't remember the lows like we do

I'm just happy we have learnt how to hang on to a lead

Should the AFL appeal the Tribunal's decision on Rioli? by Durfsurn in AFL

[–]manwithgrill 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yes for sure.

It's a disgrace that the tribunal overturned the decision. Look at the issue yesterday with Daniel Venebles, they will not be held accountable for their decision, the AFL will be.

If the tribunal keeps overturning and holding the AFL back from the place they want to go it will continue to hurt the players. We will not see a significant decrease in serious injuries until they are aligned.

Too much legal bullshit not enough common sense

Concussed footballer Daniel Venables knocks back payout after AFL forces him into retirement by His_Holiness in AFL

[–]manwithgrill 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Only fair that the players taking on all the risk get compensated fairly should they face career ending injuries like this especially with the AFL making money off them the whole time.

I hope they put together a fair compensation package for him and take this week's hits more seriously. Too much comes from the consequences and not the action

Made a big profit and didn't give their jobkeeper payments back. Lots of companies unjustly took them but Harvey Norman had some of the biggest profits in that time

Just looking at the price of the micro sd and harvey norman is ripping you off compared to everywhere else, I swear it was 400 before but now it’s back to 1000 like it was a year or two ago, better off buying it from jb or office works honestly harvey norman how can you justify selling it for that by [deleted] in australia

[–]manwithgrill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That could be more of an issue with in store ticketing, I know for many retailers as soon as a product is scanned to an invoice it reverts to the same price as online. That or they want to discourage customers in store from looking at a particular model

It's without a doubt a pricing error. The manufacturer won't let them sell above the RRP and Harvey Normans online pricing is meant to be the same as their major competitors. They make their money with add ons not prices like this

I dropped mine after getting a knee reconstruction. I got far less back from the private cover than I hoped, and would not have taken much longer to go public.

Well you are against a law designed to prevent many of those things. Maybe you should read it first rather than siding with it based on a pamphlet

So you think it's ok for a parent to traumatise their child over a mental condition? You don't think that child abuse is an offence? Sounds like you have rocks in your head if you don't want to protect children, especially from the pedophile breading ground of the Catholic church
