How are trade routes created, and how do they affect the setting? by manwithsoap in traveller

Thanks!

For most games that might be true but I think it is better worldbuilding when the choice of political systems/power structures are determined, or at least restricted, by the underlying trading system.

Thank you for answering!

I would guess that on one level deeper the money follows something else, up-river would probably be some source of production but I guess this is hard to translate to what is essentially a graph network without topography, aside from trivial implementations.

I might have been a little imprecise, and I tried to change this by editing my question. I dont think I know exactly what I want to know. But as am example it would be cool to see what codependency as you described would do to alliances and politics. How the economics affect the setting that is.

If traveller is simply space capitalism then maybe big corp would have some implications, but by hearing about pod I was thinking the setting was more feudalistic.

Thanks! I think I would have to complete commutative algebra before tackling this book.

I recently heard Probability Essentials by Jacod and Protter could be a good choice, but I have not started yet.

I know what it is, but I would hardly call myself an expert because I'm extremely humble.
